The manor belongs to Lord Londesborough. Remains of a buried oak forest are in low landshere; and about 600 trees were dug up, in 1838, withina space of 14 acres. The living is a rectory in the diocese of York. Value, £470.* Patron, Lord Londesborough. The church is of the 14th century, and good.
