CEMMAES, a township in Llanbadrig parish, Anglesey; on Yrwylfa bay, 4½ miles W of Amlwch. It has a post office‡ under Bangor. Real property, £2,566; of which £100 are in quarries. Pop., 909. A creek is here, with a small pier. A small church was built in 1865.
