Tregaron, small town and township with ry. sta., Caron par., Cardiganshire, 10 miles NE. of Lampeter, pop. 1731; P.O., T.O., 1 Bank; was anciently a bor., disfranchised in 1730; the township is also called Caron-ys-Clawdd, and the eccl. dist. is also called Caron.
