Descriptive Gazetteer Entry for Moyles Court

Moyles Court, old mansion (now a farmhouse), Ellingham par., Hants, 3 miles N. of Ringwood; was the seat of the Lisles, of whom Colonel Lisle was one of the judges of Charles I., and his wife, Dame Alicia, was condemned to death by Jeffreys for sheltering fugitives from Sedgemoor.
